RTIC's chart, read 2026-09-21: “Drinkware: 90 Days.” Same line for gear and accessories. It is not an oversight; it sits in a chart that gives Ultra-Tough hard coolers 5 years and hard cases a limited lifetime, so RTIC has decided that its drinkware is a 90-day product. Yeti's document puts Rambler in the five-year group with Tundra and Roadie. Both cover defects, exclude wear, and require the original purchaser. For a tumbler, the failure that matters is the lid gasket or a lost vacuum, both of which show up after 90 days and inside 5 years. The RTIC warranty explained and the Yeti warranty explained read both.
The ceramic lining
RTIC lines the Road Trip and Outback with ceramic: “prevents altered or metallic taste and smell, so drinks taste better and it's easy to clean.” It is a real feature; Yeti's Rambler mug has one too, and Purist goes further with glass. On bare 18/8, coffee leaves a note that the next water carries; ceramic stops that. It does nothing for retention, and it is not a reason to accept 90 days. If the lining is what you want, Yeti's 20 oz ceramic-lined mug (5-year term) is on best tumblers for coffee.
On lids: Yeti sells the MagSlider, Straw Lid and HotShot for the Rambler and three caps for the bottle; RTIC includes two straws with the Road Trip and lists nothing for sale afterward. The Road Trip's 3-in-1 lid is “leak-resistant”; the Outback's flip top is “leak-proof” per RTIC. Neither Yeti lid is leakproof without switching to the Straw Lid or a cap. Tumbler lid replacement.
