Two lids, neither leakproof
The Rambler's MagSlider is a magnet-held slider over a drinking slot; YETI's retailer copy says it “is not leakproof and should not be stored inside a backpack.” The Quencher's FlowState is a rotating cover with three positions (straw, wide mouth, closed); Stanley calls it splash-resistant and does not call it leakproof. Both are desk and cup-holder lids. If you need a seal, Stanley's ProTour lid on the same body is leakproof, and YETI sells a Straw Lid and a HotShot cap; best 40 oz tumblers and tumbler lid replacement cover the options.
The difference that decides most purchases is heat. YETI's 18/8 body with the MagSlider takes coffee; Stanley says the Quencher line is for cold drinks and its straw tumblers “not for use with hot liquids.” A Rambler is a mug and a tumbler; a Quencher is a tumbler. Best tumblers for coffee.
